Using Widows Vista with GroupWise Web Access

Security settings when using Windows Vista and Internet Explorer to connect to GroupWise Web Access can result in sluggish performance (or even the inability to connect to your mailbox).

You can adjust some settings within Internet Explorer to improve the situation.

To adjust the settings in Internet Explorer:

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Open the Tools menu (hold down the Alt key and tap the letter T)
  • Choose Internet Options
  • Select the Advanced Tab
  • Scroll down and locate the following items:  Use SSL 2.0 and Use TLS 1.0
  • Uncheck use TLS 1.0
  • Check Use SSL 2.0
  • Click OK

You may need to exit Internet Explorer and start again for these settings to take effect.
